Description
The Mauvide-Genest manor, built in the middle of the 18th century, is located in the village of St-Jean, île d’Orléans. Visit this prestigious manor, open from basement to attic, and discover the seignorial régime of New France. Furniture lent by Musée de la Civilisation, reproduction of historical objects supervised by Parks Canada, a multimedia presentation and tour guides, dressed in the period costumes, will walk you through the lifestyle of the 18th century. In our New France garden, you will discover vegetables and medicinal plants he had to grow as a surgeon.
